GSTSolve Privacy Policy

GSTSolve (“the app”) generates GST tax invoices and adjustment notes for Shopify stores in Australia and New Zealand. The app is operated by Athanor. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how long it is kept.

What we collect

To generate tax invoices the app processes order data from your Shopify store: order line items, totals and tax lines, and the customer billing details that appear on an invoice (name, company, email and billing address). We also store the business details you enter in the app’s settings (business name, ABN or NZ GST number, logo and invoice preferences).

Why we collect it

Solely to create, deliver and re-issue tax invoices and adjustment notes for your orders, as required by Australian (ATO) and New Zealand (IRD) tax rules. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except the service providers below.

Where it lives

Invoice records are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase in Sydney, Australia. The application runs on Railway (Southeast Asia region). Invoice emails are delivered by Resend. Each provider processes data only to supply their service to us.

How long we keep it

Tax invoices are statutory records. Merchants are legally required to retain them for five years in Australia and seven years in New Zealand, so invoice records are retained on that legal-obligation basis even if an individual customer requests deletion of their data. When a store uninstalls the app and Shopify issues a shop redaction request, we delete all of that store’s data: invoices, adjustment notes, settings and sessions.

Customer data requests

If one of your customers asks for their data or asks to be deleted, Shopify forwards the request to us automatically. Data access requests are fulfilled by the merchant from their invoice list. Deletion requests are honoured for everything except the invoice records described above, which are kept for legal compliance.
